Attendance percentage is simply classes attended divided by classes held, but the figure carries real weight because many schools and universities enforce a minimum — often 75% — below which you're barred from sitting the exam. The unforgiving part is the arithmetic near the threshold: once you've missed enough sessions, no amount of perfect future attendance can lift a low percentage back above the line, which is why it pays to track it early in the term rather than discover the shortfall at the end.
