Percentage Increase Calculator
Find the percentage increase from one value to another.
Worth Knowing
Percentage increase is measured relative to the starting value, which is the source of a common confusion: a rise from 20 to 25 is a 25% increase, but the reverse drop from 25 to 20 is only a 20% decrease, because the base changed. This asymmetry is why a stock that falls 50% then rises 50% doesn't return to where it started. Always check which value the percentage is being taken of.
