Worth Knowing
A weighted grade reflects that not all assessments count equally — a final worth 50% moves your grade far more than a quiz worth 5%. This tool multiplies each component's score by its weight and sums the results, which is exactly how most syllabi compute a final mark. The key check is that your weights add up to 100%; if they don't, the result is distorted. Knowing the weights also tells you where extra study effort yields the biggest return.
